Hi Doug, Hey thanks for that reprint of that 37 Egg. Now I really have a headache !!!! As far as I know, Eggs are flat bottomed, and very beamy, as well a much lighter than our heavy, deep-veed Bertrams. I'm impressed with his results and hope it will do the same for our bertrams.....BUT.... I'd really like to hear from someone who has put them in a B33 FBC or SF, and see how he made out. It sure would be a lot cheaper to keep my new shafts, struts,cutlass bearings, cutters, dripless seals, and just go with slightly bigger props, and put in the 385hp Crusaders. Actually Ken, the 37 Egg is a heavier boat than ours. Probably by about 3K or 4K lbs. I think the deadrise aft is somewhere between 8 and 14 degrees. I lent someone my Power Boat guide so I can't give you the exact number. You are right about the beam though. I think the 37 is over 14 feet wide. That, coupled with the greatter weight, makes me think we would see at least similar and probably better results. Go on. Bite the bullit and out em' in.
