May not be what you’re going after, but a large part of my interior has been sanded and painted white. Makes the interior look a bit more modern.
Wash with TSP, and cetol (2 coats). I did mine about 12 years ago (crap am I old) but it needs to be done again. I still can't believe I did it weeknights after work in the spring right after the boat went in. Doesn't seem like there's enough hours in the day now! Personally, I like the varnished/cetol look. Have had many people on board comment that it looks very "yachty", especially with the teak and holly sole.

I had some "stains" , looked like something dripped on the draw., A little sanding and stain. came out great. I went with the matt finish, to prevent this from happening again.also have the holly sole.
