Will not go forward or backwards

Transmission goes into gear, but will not hold power. Will not go forward or backwards. 33 bertram with 454 mercs. Thanks

has new pump just took whole thing a part and put it together same result...any help....thx

Welcome aboard. Does the shaft turn at all ? Is it both engines ? "...will not hold power" What does that mean ? Does it stop turning the prop's at a certain rpm ? Rick Ticket 85 SF Merc 454 MPI's Falmouth, MA
