OK, I will come right out and say it. At the risk of offending my New England brothers, I can't stand the Patriots. I hope Peyton can muster up what it takes to beat them, I really do. But all that being said, Tom Brady can already buy his ticket to Canton, that guy is a for sure Hall Of Famer. Under 30, and the poise like nobody before him. We really are witnessing greatness.

Can't stand the Patriots? I can understand that not everyone likes a dynasty team. But saying you are rooting for Peyton Manning? I can understand little kids that don't know any better, rooting for him because he's on t.v. 7,000 times a day. But someone from the west coast?? All the sore losers who have gotten spanked by the Pats always cry and say " I hope Peyton beats you guys, you big bullies". Jets fans, Buffalo fans, Raiders fans, Pittsburgh fans, Chargers fans.......... Enjoy the Dynasty, you'll probably never see another one in your lifetime, the Pats are a good team with a bunch of good guys that keep their noses clean and somehow ALWAYS rise to the occasion. Don't get upset this weekend when Peyton is crying on the sidelines AGAIN after the Pats crush them. Maybe they can make a commercial about that?? Peyton Manning, are you serious, he's not the answer to stopping the Pats, sorry. Next your gonna say that the Superbowl is gonna suck because the Pats are in it, and your not going to watch it. Boo Hoo. But, that being said, we were very fortunate to win yesterday. Thank God for Marty Shotteninmypants! Truth is, if Belichick was coaching the Chargers the score would have been 130-3 in favor of San Diego. Chargers are a very good team but need help coaching. Marty may be good at building the team, but those playoff's are a completely different challenge. Dave, if it makes you feel any better....most of us thought yesterday WAS the Superbowl. Definitely the toughest team in the NFL and although I think the Pats were confident going into the game, they knew what they were up against. Watch us lose to Indy now but if you asked me who I'd rather face, Indy or Chargers, it'd be Indy all day long. They're at least human. But you have to admit....dancing on the little Lightning Bolt was more entertaining than Peyton's commercials! Sounds like rhetorical question....Dave, you don't have to answer that ! Hey - both of these teams were pumped to the max for this game and they're almost all young twenty somethin's. So each team is going to see the other say or do something that offends them in some way. No. I'm not trying to be a wise guy. I'm actually curious as to what he doesn't like about them? On a humorous note, are you still pissed that we used to treat Stan Humphries as if he were a pinata back when he was SD's QB in the late 90's? I thought all of San Diego was not happy with the end of the game dance. Which I haven't seen by the way, but have heard it from both coasts. Is there any video ? You can look at it from a positive sense too......we've got a new rivalry going ! What we had with Pittsburgh seems to have fizzled.....wait till the San Diego game in Gillette Stadium next fall. Like I said, I respect them for being a good team, but I can't stand them being in the hunt so often and not "spreading it around" if you know what I mean. Kind of like the evil empire - the N.Y. Yankees. The Patriots are becoming like the Yankees in that they are hogging the playoffs, and if you are not a fan of them, then you naturally end up disliking them. I know that is what they are supposed to be doing, but it doesn't mean I have to like it, and I don't.

Dave, With the Yankee comment we can identify with your discontent toward the Patriots. But I feel compelled to remind you that you are talking to fans who for years......and many years.....watched this this team crumble season after season. They were the joke of the league from the start and it wasn't until Kraft took over the team that they earned any respect. Yes, we made the SB in the mid-80's......only to get trounced by the Bears in the worst defeat known in SB history ! I think we can all agree to hate the Raiders! It feels really good to have a local team that everyone hates because they are so dominant. Who ever thought it would be the Patriots? I enjoy every playoff win and SB win like it's the first one, cause I know it won't last forever. Ditto on that....that rivalry is long gone. No sympathy from us....Pats and their fans are still hungry, guess we waited too long for this. So long that none of us will make predictions for Sunday, we know the Colts are good and their defense is much better lately. Going to be a good game.
