Nope. Its right on. Diesels always had 1.375 and the gas shifted to 1.5 in 1987. Its because they changed the trans ratio in order to swing a larger prop (23x26 rather than 21x20). The thing that jumps out at me is the fuel burn for the 37's. The 375 Cats burn 33 gph at cruise and the 450 DD's burn 46 gph. It reafirms my decesion to re-power rather than to buy a 37 or 38. I don't think I could afford to run a 37 or 38 given these fuel burn numbers. Those specs are the same on my 1989 spec sheet. I have the 2:57 gear and 23 x 26 3 blades. Which may turn up 4400 on a empty boat. I cut them to 23x24. Shafts are Aquamet 22 1.5. My wgt and fuel cap. is different. And the boat only sees 23 mph going downhill. I bet I burn 37 gal / hr theough. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC

I notice that the fuel capacity is stated as "usable" at 310/250 gals. I assumed that to to be tank capacity and usable to be some thing like 90% of that. I usually plan a trip for no more than 225 max all things considered. Has anyone acutally used 310/250 as usable? Capt Rich Catch 22 1989 33 FBC
