Yup, love seeing those Makos fly out of the water. Thresher sharks are unreal also. The only bad part is watching and listening to some of the "tools" that are catching the fish. Now I just turn down the volume, those Jersey guys are over the top obnoxious! J/K Mike! Thought I saw a Bertram on the show? Did you? Bill 33 FBC Ipswich, Ma. I watch every episode. A few of the guys on there are regulars on thebassbarn.com which is possibly the best "fishing" forum for NJ fisherman. I know a few of the guys onj the show - 1 I know and have fished with and a few others I knew from forums. I agree - some of the guys on there for both the east and west and annoying - but I still like the show!

We're all annoying from the East Coast! One thing for sure, those guys are serious fisherman that are 100% into it, looks like a great experience and they know how to have a fun time. I'll have to check out that website. Bill 33 FBC Ipswich, Ma.

I think by drama you are talking about the alleged CHEATING by one of the jersey teams

Alleged is correct. Alot of people are going by what they saw on t.v. I don't know, the jury is still out. I am going to wait till the last show to see what happens. The bass barn has a thread on there that got over 20 thousand hits in 24 hrs. Now thats taking some interest. Mike

Mike - the bassbarn thread is unreal. I am trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt - but it is tough. I havent posted over there until I feel I have made up my mind, but there would have to be something extreme on the next few shows to make me feel better about that team. It does give Jersey fisherman and ezpecially that Charter boat (OG) a bad name though.

I still think it is all for t.v. I am looking forward to the last show to see what happens. OG does not look good. They even took their listing off of the barn and anything related. Check out www.sportfisherman.com they have another thread going where they had acouple of replys. Just hard to believe that a guy who has that much at stake doing this. Thats why I think its all a set-up for advertizeing, or he is dumber than a door knob. Mike

Saw the show last night, hard to believe these guys could catch anything but a cold. Every large fish that was hooked was lost, unprepared crews and equipment, unknowledgable reel men, husband and wife teams??, this all has to be made up for t.v. I am going out on a limb here and have to guess this is all made up and none of these people have ever fished before, and this is all for "reality" t.v. I keep waiting for MINI ME to show up to try and land a 600 pound Mako! Shark must be the easiest fish in the world to hook up with, lay a chum line and drink beer all day, actually sounds like fun, but this show is making it out to be much more than it is. Can just anybody sign up for this event, what do you do just write a check and your in like Flynn? It would have been cool though to see that guy get his head bit off when he was sticking that small hand gaff in, all because no one sharpened the big gaff, duh! Bill 33 FBC Ipswich, Ma. believe it or not - the boat that looks like idiots - team Jersey Cape - is a charter group from New Jersey, and is(was)very well respected as top notch fisherman - the boat is the Olivia Grace. They claim the fancy editing made them look bad. They said the huge tangle was from a double hook-up with 2 very large Blue Sharks and the editors cut it out to only show the tangle. They also said that their cameraman was not the one interviewed at the end claiming to be theirs. Their story is that not many fish were caught so the show had to edit the drama to make it more interesting. What everyone is waiting to see is if the cheating is true or not. If so - these guys are in trouble.
