I finally was able to get The Photo Finish down to Marathon where She will stay for the summer for fishing. My Cousin Richard and I made the 96 mile trip from Naples in 4 hours and 15 minutes.Fueled up and headed offshore fishing at just after 2pm...A late start fishing but the first fish was worth the trip, a 7' sailfish! The first billfish for The Photo Finish. 3 days of fishing and we caught around 50 fish.1 sail,1 amberjack,3 nice big dolphin and so many schoollie dolphin that we released around 30 fish .What a blast with just 2 crew on board, especially the 2 times we got hooked up on 3 fish at once. The first fish of the trip a nice sailfish! The sail liked the pink squid lure! Tim, You're my new hero. What a nice catch. My boat just went in this morning, Bill and I are taking her to the slip in a few minutes and will be trolling a little on the way but don't expect much this time of year here. I'm dying to find out how she steers now with the straightened rudder shaft.

Little more blood please. Where did you end up in Marathon? I saw one thread that you were looking at one of the Commercial Marinas. I still think I should have taken my boat to the Keys instead of the Bahanas. $4.50/gal in Bim. But I was out voted. Keys has been really hot fishing for most of Apr & May. It's been good here too. Catch em UP! Gene Dugan

Frank, did you splash yet? Gene, She is at Marathon Cay Marina. The first marina on the Atlantic next to the 7 mile bridge.A nice facility with solid concrete docks and has full service including a travel lift.It is a marina bought by the Cay clubs so i am sure it will turn into condos real soon just like everything else in the keys...Pretty soon we will have to hook it in the keys because there will be no marinas left. I am heading down tomorrow! yippee
