Shore Power Connection

Post by Capt. Jim »

Hello, everyone. I hope all had a safe and happy holiday season. We have a 1989 33' Bertram Sportfisherman ("HOT ROD BLUE") that was attacked by an otter last week. The little devil damaged the enclosure that houses the boat's shore power connection. That is, it damaged the fiberglass (or plastic) box that contains the shore power female plug and the water-proof toggle switch that disconnects the system. The box is located just aft of the starboard engine hatch in the gunwale. I'd like to know if anyone knows where I can get a replacement housing as well as a replacement switch (or just the water-proof boot). I can't seem to find anyone who carries such things. Thank you. Try High Tide Marine. They deal almost exclusively in obsolete Bertram parts. I've had some luck getting things from them in the past. http://www.hightidemarine.cc/index.htm Good luck. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth

Me too. Danny over there is terrific. He used to work for Bertram for over 20 years. David Sumich Bertram33.com Forum Administrator
