I can't believe that Jim Rice got screwed again. [:(!] Especially with all the bullsh** going on in baseball with steroids the last 10 years. http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/ Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

I agree my brother, always got pegged as a bad guy by the writers, he just didn't like to play their bullsh*t games. Played his game on the field like it should be. Someone's still holding a grudge.[:(!] Some shi*tbag like Bonds will walk right in though. Bill Dunlop "Rebecca Rose" 1988 FBC Ipswich, Massachusetts

Well, once again Jim Rice got screwed by the HOF voters. At least he got more votes than Mark "I'm not here to talk about the past" McGuire got. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

I can't beleive I have to revive this f***ing topic for the third year in a row![:(!] How is it that Gossage gets in and Rice gets left out again. Shoot, a couple of years ago Rice had 100 more votes the Gossage. What a complete bunch of bullsh**.[:(!][xx(][8] Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

It would have been a good thing to see Gossage & Rice go at the same time, but the good news is that Rice got 72% of the vote, which just about puts him in next year. The trouble is that I think next year is his last shot. That's OK....make him sweat a little for all those K's he gave us in the big at bats through the years. Aside form that, he's got the numbers and I think '09 will behis year. Rick Ticket 85 SF Falmouth, MA

Next year is his last shot to be elected by the a$$holes (I mean "writers"). After that he could still get in by the veterans committee. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Sean, I'm a huge sports nut. Baseball in particular. I'm also a big fan of one Jim Ed Rice. All he did was lead his leauge in homers and rbi for a 12 year period (75-86) and finish in the top 5 im MVP voting 6 times. Well it took 15 tries, but Jim Ed Rice finally made it into the Hall of Fame! He got 76.4% of the needed 75% votes. Congrats Jim!

By the skin of his teeth, but he made it. Good for him. I was a little surprised on two other (very low) votes. Tommy John & Don Mattingly. Rick Ticket 85 SF Merc 454 MPI's Falmouth, MA
