Nice catch Tim. We usually fish for snapper on oil rigs in 75-150 feet water with cut pogies (menhaden). How'd you get those?

Wow Gene, how did you know that yes it is the club soliel...a friend of mine purchased it recently and is going to redevelop the property with a hotel restaurant marina and villas. Mike , we used halved goggle eyes on a 200pound hand line yoyo style with a 7/0 hook and a 2 ounce sinker...i have never fished with a hand line before but a local showed me how and it was a blast...and yes my kids are gathering memories i hope they will never forget...this week they bully netted lobsters in the keys and also got all bloodied in a school of dolphin i dont think i will ever get my cockpit totally clean....what a blast. Tim, Actually I was there when the deal closed. Right before the hurricane last summer. The first time I went in there we liked it so much we stayed a week. The place is run by a guy named Rudy. His son got killed in a car accident so he decided to sell. So I guess you need to get more chummy with the new owner. Gene Dugan
