Time for a REPOWER

Post by Stafford »

This will most likely be the boats 3rd repower, 1970 35'. This time she is getting 5.9 QSB's

Here is the cleaned out engine room.

Shafts are out for a check and attaching new couplers.
New dripless seals going in, all new hoses, etc

Gathering parts is almost a daily adventure- all the small stuff is adding up.
The labor hours is going to be at least twice what I expected

Finally
Up and running - Boat unloaded, 1/2 tank of fuel, no generator, water tank empty, no fishing gear. Cruise 27-28knots tops out at 32knots
Props could use some more cup based on load, but will be adding all the extra weight today and running a new sea trial before we add cup.
Time to get this thing fishing
