Cabin valance lights

Post by LuckyGirl »

Happily acquired a Bertram 33 Sportfish and she needs a lot of work and TLC. Minor question but does anyone know how to get to the bulbs behind the wood valance in the cabin. I need to replace bulbs and would not think you have to remove wood to get to bulb? Thanks

If you look closely at the wood valance, there are 4 screws located underneath. This removes a panel that will get you access to the fixtures. My suggestion while you're there is to replace them with an LED strip that you will never need to replace. This will give off much better lighting and reduce your power consumption. It will probably be cheaper than buying new bulbs anyway and you can also get fancy with color!

Thank you. Previous owner put blinds up and covered that area besides nasty screw holes everywhere. Ok I will remove blinds which I was going to do anyway and replace with nice LED lighting. Thanks again!
