Cabin Door latch and lock

Post by Camano Mike »

Hi everyone,

I just replaced the door latch assembly on my 33 FBC with a new one from High Tide. The parts are great and I have my old lock tumbler to put in. I started to thread it in, but it doesn't want to grab the second set of threads. Does anyone have any experience with replacing these? I didn't want to cross thread it and screw it up. I thought about calling a locksmith.

I think you're blazing a new trail here Mike.

Let us know how you make out.

Good luck!

I got it in. Apparently I just needed to drink less beer while I was installing it and try a little harder and it worked out! Who would of thought?! :D

Thanks for the “heads up”, I always thought there was no such thing as “too much beer”!
