PlasDeck or Teak deck alternative

Has anyone installed PlasDeck or similar product in the cockpit of their sportfish? My right leg and ankle bothers me after a long day on a boat from an old injury and I am looking for something to give a bit of cushion underneath me plus I really like the look of a teak deck, just not the maintenance. I wear Sperry boat shoes after my ankle injury but they do not have the cushion I am looking for...

I used PlasDeck after I re-cored the aft cockpit deck. Did the cockpit, swim platform and bridge deck. I'm thinking this was 2013 or 14. Very pleased with it. It's indestructible.....you clean it with lacquer thinner and a power washer. Still looks brand new. Downside, it was 10K installed. I went with white with grey inlay. It is, as you say, very nice under foot and not slippery.

Joe,

How much padding do you think it added?

It's less than 1/4" thick, but it definitely adds some cushion. I guess the only real example would be when I dropped a dive tank by accident....it bounced up and didn't hurt anything. Between this & a good pair of shoes, you won't do any better.
