Water leak on transmission, through bulkhead/door track?

Post by captfrank »

I know the 35 Bertram's are notorious for the bulkheads rotting out over time and ours as some but we calked the heck out of the bulkhead and door track area but still get water on the trans and can't figure out where its coming in from. Anyone know where else to look?

Are you sure its coming from above and not being thrown around from the shaft or something else?

I have the same problem with my 35. What i did is use a door brush type weather guard on the bottom of the door. It has helped. Also my boat is bow high during winter storage and was not covered this year and no wetness at all
