The lock in my salon door has just about given up the ghost. I called Danny at Hightide and he doesn't stock them. He has the mechanism but not the barrel for the key. The parts were made by two different manufactures, the one that makes the barrel went under. Does anybody know where I can find one?

Brian, Fifteen years ago when I bought Nites Off, the lock was inoperable. Pulled it out of the door & brought it to a locksmith in Salem Ma. Don't know what he did but it worked decently after that. This past summer it started acting up again. I took it completely apart. Soaked everything in Corrosion X & now it is works like a hot knife through butter. Al

Amen! I'd drink the stuff if it didn't have a warning label.

Rick... You are not correct! When in doubt ask Al! If you can't reach him, cover with Corrosion X and wait for Al to call you back.

Brian, any good lock shop will have the key barrel.

I have repaired mine it is a Perko. I have not had to replace the barrel for the key just the parts inside.

All good info thanks. I fear being locked out in the cockpit and the scotch on the other side of the door.

What a disaster! If you leave your window unlocked you can slide it open and use the knob inside to unlock the door.

Rear windows don't open on a 42. I miss that.

Brian... it must be nice that your yacht club doesn't require work parties
