Discount Merc Parts ?

Post by Rick »

I need a new fuel pump for one of my Merc 454's and it ain't gonna be cheap. Not sure if we have discussed this anywhere else in the forum, but has anyone found a website or retail sales outlet that has reasonable prices for Merc Parts ?

Tim, I believe that Rick's motors aer fuel injected. If so I'm not sure if your fuel pump would work. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Doug, They are fuel injected, new in 2000. I use Portside marine now and they are at least level with everyone else on pricing. But I couldn't help think that there's someone out there who is 10 - 20% lower than they are. Probably wishful thinking !

Portside marine is actually owned and operated by my cousin but I don't think that will help you any as it does nothing for me. Try boatfix.com Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Cool site, but they don't carry it. We'll keep looking around but I'll buy the pump tomorrow, can't stand of thought of it not being ready !

Rick, Try C&C Auto in Beverly. I know they carry some marine electric fuel pumps. Al 1978 33 FBC NITES OFF

Thanks Al, They didn't have it, so I ended up buying from Portside. Good news is that I learned how to change it myself since every mechanic on the cape can't get to you until July. Back to running good....hope it lasts ! Take Care, Rick
