3208 Temp

Post by Mako »

Hi All, Hope this note finds everyone well. I run 1985 CAT 3208T's. Had my coolers and exchangers all cleaned this year along with changing R/W impellers. While running at 2300 RPM's my port sits around 178-181 degrees and starboard around 180-185. Just double checking that these seem normal to those with 3208 experience.

Don't forget to clean your exhaust mixers as well.

JC, I'm running 3116's and just did my after coolers as general maintenance while waiting for new props. I run 2300-2400 RPMs and stay steady at 185degrees in 78 degree water. When running of Chatham in 66 degree water I'm slightly cooler. Ran WOT for several minutes to test the new props and they stayed under 190. Thanks Capn' T 33'Bert SF 3116 Cats Hyannis MA.

Ok, so I'm assuming I'm good to 185-190....not passed that.
