TEE SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
TEE SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
It has been a long time since I posted anything about the tee shirt project I started many months ago. I have to admit the delay is my fault, but now I am finally ready to get some info to you all. I now have two completed line drawings to use.. one for the SFs and one for the FBCs. We had to keep them sort of generic, because over the years a few things such as the cabin side windows and the flybridge seating were changed by Bertram, and various outrigger designs and flybridge enclosures were added to some boats by their owners, and it would be too expensive to attempt to have more than one drawing for each model. I have worked with a local business owner (ex US Coast Guard) who does both silk screen printing and embroiders custom clothing, who has been very helpful in creating the artwork needed. As far as the shirts themselves are concerned, for this first ordering cycle I believe it is best to keep things straightforward and simple. I have chosen a reputable shirt manufacturer (Gildan) in a mid-weight (5.6oz cotton/synthetic “dryâ€ blend) material. These are basic white tee shirts, with short sleeves and no pockets. The graphics will be printed on the back of the shirt, along with the model name in block letters under the drawing (as shown under the line drawings) per the specific model you specify. Depending on how the first cycle goes we might be able to offer colors, long sleeves and perhaps pockets in the future, but additional features will likely cost more money, and I have tried to keep the prices as low as possible for the initial cycle. As much as I would like to, I am not able to inventory shirts for future sale, and I cannot accept credit cards, so please order knowing each shirt is made to your specific requirements and I have no idea when they will be available again. Your orders will be accumulated and the first cycle of shirts will be printed after the order period closes. For the first order cycle I have chosen August 15 as a cutoff date, so if you are interested please get your orders to me before that date. Future sales will depend on the interest our members indicate. I have already paid for generating the artwork myself, so all you will be paying for is the shirts plus the shirt printing cost, plus a fee to support the forum, and a fee for postage. I do not intend to personally make any money from this endeavor, and all money in excess of my costs will be forwarded to David Sumich, our webmaster, who funds this site out of his own pocket, less the donations he receives from us. The shirts will be printed with a large boat profile line drawing and the words “Bertram 33 SFâ€ or “Bertram33 FBCâ€ as appropriate on the back under the drawing. I have listed below the information I need to process your order and ask you to send it to me at IRGuy@aol.com with the subject “Bertram shirtsâ€ so I won’t mistakenly toss your to correspondence into my spam file. When you place your order please at the same time mail to me a check to cover the payment for your order. I, as outlined below will hold all these checks until the shirts are mailed, and then send David’s share on to him. I have been informed that it is not presently possible to post pictures or drawings on this site, so if you don’t recall the graphics I posted a while ago (pre the spammer) I ask you to drop me an email and I will send you a Word document with the specific graphics shown. Please feel free to post any questions you might have here so everyone can see them as well as my answers. To all members... Tee shirt orders can be placed now.. get your crew some nice shirts with a B33 SF or FBC line drawing on the back, and support this forum at the same time. All profits will go to our forum webmaster, who has, for years, kept it free for all of us, and now it is time we all stepped up and showed him our appreciation!

Thanks guys.. I hope a lot more of our members place orders.. I am a little concerned that sales aren't what I thought they would be.. these shirts can't be had anywhere else, and are a great way to support our forum since all profits are going to David. Keep those orders rolling in guys!

Matt... No problem with your schedule.. and thank you for your service. Regardless of when I receive your check I won't cash it until the shirts are sent. Please be sure to send me your delivery address. Since you own a FBC I assume that is the graphic you want. No need for you to respond unless I am incorrect. Frank
