Honey wants an ac/dc fridge vs. the home depot $129 version we currently have - which is like new and works perfect. Anyway, having learned to pick my battles, before I embark on a search any recommendations? Thanks

Yes. Save your pennies. What about an inverter instead? Likely to be much cheaper and does the same basic thing and more.

When I was shopping for a replacement fridge I spoke with several other owners and some people in the boat business. I was told all a 12 volt/120 volt marine fridge is a simple 120 volt unit with a built-in inverter. I bought a small under counter 120 volt unit at Lowes used by kids in dorm dorm rooms and if I need to power it with 12 volts I have an inverter I can install. The fridge works fine, has a small freezer and can make a tray of cubes.. I think I paid around $95 for it on sale. save your money for a new toy for the boat and buy an inverter that you can use for other things as well as powering the fridge.

Interesting. An Inverter is going to be cheaper than a new fridge? That is surprising but glad I asked. Thanks

Get a generator and run your A/C and Heat too. If my generator isn't running I'm not leaving the dock.
