Lets just say the wife and I have had the opportunity to work at Palmer Station Antarctica, and yes the crossing from South America via the Drakes Passage and the Southern Ocean can be a Dramamine overdose situation. We made the passage on the Laurence M. Gould research vessel from Punta Arenas Chile to Palmer Station on Anvers Island Antarctica. Do a Google search for USAP..United States Antarctica Program.

I am an electrician. Commercial industrial marine.. I did 3 6 month contracts at Palmer and 1 at McMurdo Antarctica. The wife was a galley slave at Mac and and Carpenters helper at Palmer. I am trying to post a few pictures, but have not been successful.
