Hello, Guys I'm a new 33 SF owner and have a question. The cockpit deck has a few spongy sections where it flexes when walked on. I'm hoping to pull the boat out in about March for an exterior paint job depending upon funding. I'd like to maybe try and do the cockpit deck at the same time, but I'm worried about what I may find underneath. I saw a new/used deck on eBay for $5k. I thought that was a little pricey, or at least it is for me. Does anyone have any experience with a project like this. Thanks Brad
Brad, WELCOME!!!!!! The deck comes up easily. Turn it over & cut out the soft sections & glass in new stuff. Balsa, plywood, Coosa board, whatever you are familiar with. You do not need a new deck. Al
Welcome. Al's right you don't need a new deck I fixed my deck myself. It's not rocket science. A little itchy and dirty but not hard. Search this forum just about everyone has repaired their decks. Buzz

Ditto on no new deck. Most of us have had this issue. Having all the hatches and deck re-cored cost me about $2000 back in 2004. I pulled the deck myself and re-installed when the contractor was done.
