I am new to this forum, so let me begin by saying that I have found this forum to be really informative and well done! Congratulations!! I have a 1986 Bertram convertible powered with 502 H.O Crusaders. I really love the vessel and am currently re-wiring the bridge electrical. Somewhat of a hodge podge done by prior owners. Project 2 is a water leak. I am experiencing some leaking in the bunk room. I believe the leaks are occuring around the small port hole openable window at the upper bunk. I was going to remove and re-seal the window, but see that the plastic openable window is cracked and in need of replacement. Does anyone know where I may find this window component? Any leads are appreciated. thanks Ron

Welcome aboard Ron. I also have an 86 FBC. Try Bomar. I pulled both portholes a few years ago for the same reason. The issue is that there's not much room between the cabin and the porthole for sufficient caulking. I filed all around the openings to slightly enlarge the area and re-bedded. Ron: The ports were made by Beckson Marine Inc. (at least on my '88) 165 Holland Ave, Bridgeport,CT 06605. http://www.beckson.com They also make/made a nifty screen insert that vents and stays mostly dry. Jim Hart Fidelity:Always Faithful

I replaced mine with a set of these Bomar SS windows. They were a close match to my 1990 design, but I had to tweak the opening slightly to make them fit. I went with the SS knob, opening version. Mine also came with a screen insert. I also had my canvas guy make up a simple black plastic insert for sleeping.
