Having the bridge enclosure replaced all four sides. Going with stamoid 40 gage with sunbrella. Also doing the windsheild bra with sunbrella. What do you think? Whole thing is costing me $4,300. It will be all tracks no snaps. Mike

Mike, The price sounds pretty good, but do you mean 40mil strata-glass? I think stamoid is only cloth. I have ez2y on the front and strata-glass on the sides and both look good after 4yrs. If I had to do it again, I don't think I'd pay the extra for the ez2cy.

Your right but straglass also makes stamoid. its on their sight. I heard that the strataglass was the best but you have to much upkeep.

No more upkeep than other enclosures. I had a 3 sided strataglass enclosure installed when I got my hardtop done back in 2004. That was $3500. I had the back done prior to the beginning of the next season (2005). Thats 6 seasons on the sides and front and it still looks great. There's a strataglass specific polish that I used for the first time last year, followed by a protectant. Prior to that, I had just washed it with dawn using a sponge followed by the protectant. Other than EZ2CY, I think its the best you can get and the price is reasonable. If possible, get so you can swing up the smileys rather than roll them. They'll stay clearer and scratch free much longer.

Whatever material you choose, the slide track is the way to go. I mounted the tracks on top of the indentation on the bridge. It has a nice clean look that follows the bridge lines. Take a look at my pics from the ones that Doug posted for me & you can sort of see the groove that I'm talking about. On the back side, I took the panel all the way down to the floor, ahead of the railing. This way I'm 100% sealed and can still not interfere with my rod holders on the railing. x2 on the track at the top. It makes for a more weather tight seal and imo is easier to install. That may not be a big deal to those in warmer climes, but mine comes down every fall and goes back up every spring.

Just for the record, I do nothing more than wash and rinse both the ez2cy & strataglass. This year I will use the cleaner I got when the enclosure was made. Go with good thread and zippers, I also like the idea of the tracks. The only knock I have on ez2cy is that I get a glare from electronic/light in the dark hours of the day. I'm wondering if I use the cleaner if that doesn't take care of it??

I would have loved to use the ez2 product on the front but the cost was alittle over what I wanted to spend. I have the smilys on the front what I call eyebrows that are big enough to allow air flw through the bridge when openned. they snap on the the electronics box when openned. I used to roll the whole thing up but that was scatching it and made it almost impossible to see through at night. Thanks for you input, Mike

Went down to the boat today and noticed they had started on the inclosure, full tracks all around and had the original enclosure all roped up. Scared the @#$% out of me thought some had did alittle kmart shop. I will post the pics when its done. Mike

At the least make sure the straps that hold the glass rolled up are made from Sunbrella and not from eisenglass. The eisenglass straps wil scratch the Sh-t out of it. JMHO

I just had them make it so I don't roll the whole front up, just eyebrow snap ups. It works great, you do miss the wide open effect but you always have a clear veiw. Mike
