Water heater hookup to 3208T

Post by DemianM »

My 33 has the water heated not connected to the engines (there is only hot water with 110v). Can it be connected? On my boat it is disconnected, does the engine have a hookup port? Thanks Demian

Hi Demian, I just sent you an e-mail, so check for it. I scanned a couple of pages from my mercruiser factory manual that shows the correct hook ups for your water heater to your engine. I was unable to add the adobe files to this reply. If you send me an e-mail I will forward the files to you. Gerard@johnnagle.com

Sorry Demian Please disregard I thought that I red a post that related to 454s not 3208s. Gerard

There are several plugs in the coolant side of the cooling system that can be removed and replaced with hose barbs. 1 " Heater hose is then run to the fittings on the hot water heater. Be careful, these connections can be a weak spot for a leak and dumping coolant with catastrophic results.
