Onan 7.3 + ETHANOL

While reading the Kawasaki manual for the FD501 engine that powers my Onan gen set I noted the following "Do not use fuel containing more than 5% alcohol,serious damage to fuel system may result" The local Kawasaki dealer says fuel lines and carb parts are being destroyed by the E10 gas blend! One more thing to worry about! Anyone else had a problem with their gen set?

No problems with fuel yet, but Westerbeke has sent out notices to everyone to change their cardboard fuel filters to a replacement bronze filter. They said that the old filters will not tolerate any ethanol based fuel. Joe Tomaini 1988 Sportfish Attitude Adjustment II Fort Lauderdale, FL
