Steve: I would get the tournament Rupps, one piece 28 to 30 foot double spreader

Mine are what I assume are originals ,Lee 22 ft with Lee Sr bases. Last year I managed to flex them enough with my new engines and speed , they both broke off within a week of each other. I called lee's and they made new lower legs for them at a cost of somewhere around $125 ea. Plus I got some other parts , including rigging kits from them . I was impressed with the treatment they gave me and with the fact that they would still make the parts for them, plus I got them within a week. For those reasons I would only buy Lees. With that kind of service I wouldn't go any where else.

Frank, you're the man when it comes to this kind of stuff. But I've got to add that Rupp has treated me every bit as well. They've sold me grommets, pipe sections and fittings for reasonable prices and they've never broke. I think Lee has a bigger name in this market but I'm not at all disappointed with Rupp either. On all my boats I've always had Lee and never had any problems. The outriggers on my Bertram are Lee with single speaders. I'm guessing the length is around 25 to 30 feet. They extend almost even with the stern of my boat. Buzz
