My 1978 FBC 33 for Sale Turnkey
I know the market is tough. Our business is growing rapidly now. I need a larger (140,000 sq/ft) building so need the funds for expansion. Spent 220K on a total professional makeover last year (not including cost of boat) on my 33 because I love it so much. Everything has pretty much been done. Anybody interested take $155 for it. You can't deplicate this for near this money. It cruises at 27-28 kts. Tops out around 32-33 depending on the wind/bottom. New Cummins 370's have about 120 hrs on them. I will include a link to pics and some more discription. This boat is not the standard Bertram interior'd.......halfway everything needs attention....almost every single thing I can think of has had professional Wanchese (boat building capital of the world in my opionion for Sportfishermen) attention to it. I fixed it for my personal use and to not have to do anything to it but get in, crank up and fish or roll to Ocracoke and ENJOY IT!..... not work on it. It still smells new inside. The only things I can think of that are left on my personal to do list are/were an autopilot and enlarging the steering hydralic lines to make steering more effortless and doing a small gelcoat cover job to the old closed velocity jets on the side. When I say everything has been done....things like all new thru hulls, steering, repacked rudders, new tiller arms, stainless steel custom linkage all new in bottom, new giant struts from Danny at Hightide, giant 2 in high strength steel shafts, dripless shafts don't leak a drop, Acme High performance props, new ZF 220a trannies, new Northern Lights 8 KW genny remote panel with sound enclosure, built a custom self-draining overboard system for cockpit to keep out the water from bilge and off genny keeps it very dry, new custom hardtop built with ultralight foam and has underside tricolor LED's for nighttime running/mood, red blue/green? and white, hardtop length keeps rain out of cabin and shades cockpit a bit when trolling, side windows pulled awlgripped and rebedded, all exterior metal rechromed including super nice Lee outriggers bases, poles are not new I was going to buy new double spreaker Lee's to fit, new pulpit, new windlass, new custom Buddy David Yacht interior grain matched cabinets all new with yacht buttons, granite countertops, cushions in Ostrich, sofa and front V berth in Ultrasuede, custom (over 100 hrs labor) drapes color matched to interior and when closed are straight with arched roofline, custom solid/smoke glass teak door awlgripped outside satin finish inside, New custom interior teak seats and Custom built awesome teak table booth awlgripped....my favorite thing that converts to bed and sleeps 2, SS frig, flybridge removed all holes/cracks fixed and completely regelcoated, new throttle/clutch linkages, new cummins panels, switches, new electrical outlets in cockpit, exhaust new fab top to bottom with side vents no smoke problem at all, new alum engine beds, water heater, digital ac/heat, central air vents/ducking even in the pooper, Bennett auto trim tab system, tabs are oversized/new, bonding all redone in green per code, zincs ready, bottom blasted and epoxy micro coated.....it's perfect, new Murray Brothers helm chairs upper and fighting chair down with teak ladderbacks and cushions. Had a custom rocket launcher built to fit cockpit and still allow movement. Chair has backing plate. Offset pedestal on fighting chair allows full size chair in cockpit and room to clear door and move about, There is a little chafing on the upper chairs......to white vinyl trim, new Garmin touchscreen 5212, state of the art Airmar 24 degree wide transducer which has just been introduced, HD radar shows even crab pots at cruise, 13 speaker Poly Planer system, 3 zone volume, 3 subwoofers, 6 CD changer, XM, built in speakers in spreader lights in brand new custom extra long hardtop, remote spotlight new with upper and lower controls, System mic button kills tunes to on all speakers up or down to request "bring more beer". Grady... Damn, I am sad to see this above.. but if your business is growing so well in these times maybe there is a silver lining. If anyone wants any comments from another Bertram 33 owner about Grady's boat, drop me an email and I will talk with you in private. Grady's boat is CHERRY.. the best I have seen. I hate to see it go! Maybe you will remember that last summer I spent a weekend on the boat, and came away thinking it is a model for my rebuild of "Phoenix".
