Looking for a project boat?

Post by TonyNJ »

The past few weeks have not been all that good. My 85 Sportfish took on water due to a leaking rudder port and a faulty float switch. I do not have the time or ambition to bring her back to the way she should be and as a result am selling her at what amounts to a salvage. Damage was confined to under decks. There was no water intrusion into the cabin. The engines, 454 Crusaders, did not ingest any water and were flushed and pickled. The genset was submerged and needs replacement as does under deck systems such as AC, fresh water pumps, batteries, etc. The boat was fitted with a new 344 gal alum fuel tank in Nov 08. Please email me at ajn118@aol.com if you have any questions. Asking $19,900 which includes electronics. Boat is located in Brick, NJ. Tony

Tony sorry to hear about your loss. I was talking to the BoatsUS guy who brought her in. He said it was not bad; water just got deep, but not under.

Wow,sorry to hear about your problems. It should sell that's cheaper than a 28 Bertram project boat that still has a fiberglass fuel tank. Buzz
