Can some one tell me where are (if any) the joints/seams on the top of the ladder are where it connects to the f/b railing....and any advise would be greatly apperciated. On mine there was a joint in the first T on the starbord side. The port side had no joint so I just removed it from where it connects to the bridge on the port side. Why do you think you need to remove your tank?

Hi Doug, Thanks for the reply...its just as you said. I took the ladder off....was pretty easy, and guess what I sprayed on the fittings and they came right off ???? Had a guy I know(who has done several Bertram tanks (4 31's a 35, plus others) look at mine...he said its done !!!! Inside is blistering. I don't want to take a chance....so out it comes. Thanks again Ken AIM: skyking4ever + 3 hrs. EST

Hi Bill, It was blistered inside. I ttok out that oval shaped cover where the fuel pick-up goes in and I able to see really well. I was all blistered...and he was telling me horror stories about dissolved resin getting thru filters, sticking to intake valve, and ruining engines !!!! I don't want to take any chances. Just got 2 new carbs...engines run great off a 5 gal gas can....so it's time. Also what type of material (fiberglass, aluminium, stainless steel) is the best for the new tank. Someone suggested a place called Luthers in Mass. I think. Would apperciate hearing input for you guys. Will be taking cockpit deck off tomorrow (I hope) Thanks again Ken oh and what is the size of my tank. 82 FBC with 350hp/454cid Crusaders (how many gallon tanks is it)...been hearing a few different stories????
