Coast Guard Rescue

USCG comes through again. Saves four 30 miles out at night off the Manasquan NJ inlet after the sinking of their 97' fishing vessel Captain Joe. I think that boat was docked near you Mike? Near the Lobster Shanty? Here is the audio link to the rescue radio transmissions. Really frightening. The time line from the first call to radio silence was pretty short. A reminder of how little precious time we have when things go to manure when you are on a boat. https://www.piersystem.com/go/doctype/651/8661/ The local paper commented that the crew's emergency equipment helped, EPIRB, survival suits and life raft made it so everybody came home. They did everything they should for their own safety. It was a big boat, lots of rigging for commercial fishing, went down quickly, everyone was lucky to get off that boat and not get snagged. http://app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AI ...
