33 Sedan Cruiser Back Deck
33 Sedan Cruiser Back Deck
Hate to ask so many questions but I just found this board. I have a little rot around the back corner of my back deck. Went to lift the thing up and found the deck to be bonded around the fighting chair insert. Any idea of how to get that up without totally destroying the deck ?

There is a thread in here someplace on the whole back deck thing. Tim & I both took ours out. There is a plate bolted to the bulkhead in front of the Gen. compartment to bolt a fighting chair or fighting table to. You can reach in thru the fuel access cover and hold one side and another person can turn a wrench from the Gen compartment. I just took a hacksaw blade and cut through the big glob of 5200 holding it down. after I cut all around the seam, I still needed to put a 4x4 across the gunnels and use a come-a-long to pop it up. Rich, I had the same problem on my boat as well. It came apart exactly as Gene described above. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA
