has anyone used these magnetic fuel conditioner units in there diesel engines. if so what are the advantages and how do they work.

Kevin, As far as I know, no one here is using them. Uncle Vic (from the 31 site) swears by them. Many others think they're like snake oil. Do a search on boatdiesel. The opinions are pretty much split down the middle. I may try them next spring. At around $280 a piece they are relatively inexpensive. Doug, Take a look this product, I have used it since 1980, my friend Chris started this company.
