Well I decided to replace my salon sliding doors with a swing model. So the old ones are avaialable, decent condition with hardware and frames. The are the early model split in the center. They can be picked up at my marina in Baltimore. I'd rather not bother with shipping, within a couple of hours drive I could be talked into delivering. br, JohnD John D "Lady D" Bertram 35 Pasadena MD

John, Did you buy or make your new door. Where did you get it if you did buy it and how much $ did it run?

Speaking of doors, I saw the door Gene got for his 33 FBC. He had it built by a Canadian firm. It looks fantastic. Tim, You're going to love it. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

I got one surplus from a yard that specializes in the other boat that can hold any hopes of holding a candle to a Bertram. I think ya'll know where I mean. They have a Parts Sepcial section and had some doors there. It's an Aluminum2000 door, single swing to the outside, opens from the left and has a full lenght glass. It looks just line the ones on the new boats. I had called them to ask about a replacement for the dual slide, like original but new FAZMATZ from Cape May has this. Well $4k wasn't in the budget, especially since I'm STILL in the middle of a repower. I picked this one up for 1/4 that price. The only down side is the rough opening is 4inches smaller that the slide doors. That shouldn't matter since with the dual slide doors you lost a couple of inches on either side. I was torn about a swing door over the slide, slides are out of the way but the tracks are a pain. I can't wait to get it installed, but thats a month or more away. For now it's sitting on the shipping pallet next to the motors under the shed. br, John John D "Lady D" Bertram 35 Pasadena MD

John, did they have additional doors? I priced the canadian ones and they were about (aboot?) 2.5K a year ago, probably 3k now. If they had more please point in the direction. Thanks, Alan.
