Thanks to everyone so far, you guys have been a great help! Ok to put an end to the hull number dilemma, I must share with all what I found out. First off, the boat was originally commissioned by the US Navy in 71'. The HIN: 35-NS-712... any takers? That's my original thought. The Title and current Registration states in the use collumn: Gov't TYPE. Is this a problem for me to operate or to use???? This boat has never been in a civilians name nor a corporation. And yes I have not taken possession yet but moving cautiously. Thanks again in advance Steven

Did it come with a machine gun mount in the cockpit? I heard or read about Bertrams being used in the Bay of Pigs thing in Cuba, and that some were slapped together very quickly to be gun boats. I had thought that the Bert gunboats were all 31's though, but maybe not.
