Just came across on Bertram31.com the timing/location for the Northeast Rendezvous set for August 3 & 4 at Montauk Yacht Club. Here's the sign-up link.
http://www.bertramrendezvousne.com/home.aspx I know this is a haul for the Boston crowd, but anyone thinking of attending? I know Capt Rich & his 33' are based at MYC. Brian '90 Bertram 33' FBC Never Say Never Guilford, CT (Homeport) Kinnelon, NJ (Home)

It's not in my plans for the summer. I'm thinking we should get something together for us around the Boston area this summer.Any ideas?

No go for me, like to see something happen with the 33/35 guys. The area between Boston and the Vinyard would be nice. Bill 1988 33 FBC Ipswich, Ma. > ~------- [img]

Doug I figured you'd be going so you could help tow Timmy down and back. Joe A.

Frank, I have some free Jet Blue vouchers, so Alex and I will probably hit you guys up. I was going to post about it later, but since you mentioned it, I thought I'd let you guys know so we can plan early.

David, That would be great if you and Alex could make it out the=is way again. Hopefully this time you could come during July or early August? I would hope we could make something happen during that time frame, as it's the most settled weather we have out here. As far as the location, and the date ,I guess the smart thing to do would be to ask how many people would be interested in getting together , say within 20 to 30 miles of Boston? Then if we had some idea of who is interested then maybe get some opinions about location, maybe sort of central to most people? What do you think guys, any ideas? How many would be interested?

Best chance for me would be July 20 - 22nd or Aug 10 - 12, although we would have to boogie the night of Aug 11th. How do you guys feel about Edgartown ? Warm water and there's a nice beach beach within a 10-15 minute dingy ride. Plenty of restaurants and provisions. Down side is only 2 boats per mooring and it's pretty much moorings only, which I happen to like. More private and quieter than most venue's that time of year.

How about something on the Mass bay side this year. Maybe Brewers in Plymouth? Also, I'm really not interested in moorings. It makes it more difficult to socialize. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA [img]

I like the August dates actually. That would work well for us. Alex and I will be doing more site seeing this time probably, so most likely we will spend an afternoon and a dinner hanging out.

We would have to cut that one short and head out late Saturday afternoon. But if that works best for everyone, we'll make it work the best we can.
