Were any of you guys at the fuel dock at Sandwich Marina Friday AM? I was headed to the Vineyard and saw a sweet looing 33 as I went by. Thought it might be Bill's delivery?

Not us. We left Norwalk around 10:30 on Sat morning. Very foggy. I'll let Bill chime in with the story of the rest of the trip. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Glad to say the boat is back home, now the real fun begins! The ride up was great, hit Newport on Sat night for a layover. Enjoyed the town and had a good meal. The first leg of the trip was a little over 100 miles. Everything ran well down below, had the wind, rain, fog and seas in our face the whole way. Cruised anywhere from 20-22 knots, had a little issue with a low volt alarm, but it corrected itself. I did find a loose wire yesterday that might have been the problem. Doug figured we averaged about 1 gallon per mile for fuel. Could have been better if not for the elements. Second leg was about 110 miles on Sunday. Better weather, just a little snotty coming out of the East end of the C.C. Canal. Flatened out closer we got to home. We saw a big submarine outside of New London Conn., that was pretty cool. Gave her a LOT of room as we passed her by! Now comes the full court press to get her up to our standards. Trying to work on her everyday, nice to have her home. All in all, the engines feel fantastic for this boat, and we're very happy with the set up. Time to enjoy....
