Well we made a bid on the 33' in Cape May that the sellers broker thought was really good, But apparently the seller is a little to upside down in the boat to sell it at comoparable price. Oh well. there are quite a few other 33's out there for sale that I find acceptable.

That's too bad Bill. Obviously I don't know what you offered, but the boat seems over-priced to me. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Seller's agent contacted my broker again. They are a little closer now. I just do not want to be upside down in the boat. I belive this boat to be in very good condition, but I need to pay what it could be sold for today. It is unfortunate for the seller but he has no way to offer a warranty for all his hard work, and the marketplace doesn't bear the weight of the labor

It may be cheaper for the owner to take the hit now rather than later. Unfortunately it's a sign of the times. It's a good time to buy and bad time to sell. Buzz buzzk 1988 Bertram 33 FBC Buzz Off Morehead City, NC

I know. Even though I love my boat, I'd love to be able to sell it (at a good price for me of course). There are some unreal deals to be had at this time. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Bill, I was speaking with a friend of mine today about that boat - he has seen it and was on it. He said it is in very good shape. Its a buyers market so you hold all the chips!

Sean we will see what happens. I would like that boat but I have gone as far as I will go, and I honestly do not belive I am being cheap. I am willibng to pay better than the average for boats sold and nada book. BUC is not very helpful as this years book is not out yet, and their numbers are static for a whole year. In eesence BUC's numbers are about 15 mos. old.

No Buzz, We believe he owes $60K to $65K

If that's the case then I would think that an offer of $65K -$70K would get it done. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA
