Did you think about running a bonding wire (or two, that is a big piece of metal) to prevent it from corroding again? "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL

Yep.....#8 AWG. Attached to the upper flange where you can't see it. That was another minor change, the original attached to the lower flange. Rick Ticket 85 SF Falmouth, MA

I replaced my water tank due to a pinhole leak I found back during my repower. I had an aluminum one made in Florida and shipped up. My recollection was that it was in the ballpark of $400 - $600 but I'd have to check my records to be sure. I had them move the fill and vent holes to the back edge so that they were out of the way when climbing around in that compartment. Ron, Mine fit through the door without having to cut anything off. I went from the 70 to a 90 gallon and added an anti-siphon valve enabling me to plump in the toilet too. My dimensions remained the same except for the height which increased by 8" - 10" (I think). I had removed the old battery charger that had been mounted above it and installed a new Charles 30 or 40 amp charger on the engine room side. I also replaced the fiberglassed over plywood base with fiberboard that was then glassed back in. No mold/rot on the underside of the plywood to worry about. Also, I set the water tank on a rubber/vinyl(?) basket weaved mesh floor mat so that no water would ever sit against the tank itself if water got underneath the tank.
