I suppose grilled, baked or roasted bread could be considered french toast Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com

Sean.. You are on the right track, sort of.. but not 100% correct.. Yes.. "pomme" is "apple".. but colloquially, a potato is a "pomme de terre".. meaning "apple of the earth".. the common term applied to french fries is "pomme frites". Frank B - IRGuy@aol.com "Phoenix" 1983 FBC Wilmington, NC

Doug, you get a Star today! Sean, quote:Fried apples and roasted french bread. That does sound interesting, perhaps with a bit of brie. You could be onto something here! Well fry my apples and roast my bread, I don't know what I'm talking about. So what is an orange, "potato of the tree?" Are potato chips called fried apple chips? And if fried apples are french fries, then what if you were to actually fry apples, what would you call those? Ed, you'll always be an apple-fryin' kind of guy to me :) Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com

Sean... If you want to be technical.. there are many English language idioms that confuse non-English speakers.. my great-grandfather emigrated from Alsase Lorraine.. the area between France and Germany that does not admit to being either.. he always said that English was a terrible language to learn.. any language in which "baloney" and "bull****" mean the same thing is impossible to understand. Yeah I know English is the worst/hardest language in the world to learn, I'm just having a little fun being the proverbial ugly American. To not get censored, try replacing your "i" with a "!". I agree, the auto-censor is bullsh!t. I'm gonna go fry some apples now Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com

Has anyone tried posting all the dirty words they can think of to see just which ones will be caught by the auto censor? Words such as SeaRay, Bayliner or FourWinns? Frank B - IRGuy@aol.com "Phoenix" 1983 FBC Wilmington, NC
