Jose your 8/26 post is both precise and well stated. I am keenly aware the of the insurance cost in your profession,as I have many close friends who practice. They are lucky to find insurance in FL and OB/GYN...forget it! No one wants to do OB because of the number of lawsuits and what it does to there policy cost. I also agree we need to get back to the fun side of this forum and making fun of Doug again! Thanks Ed. I wonder how Blue Chip is doing now that TS Ernesto is passing over us now. She`s tied up facing east in a wide canal of Coral Gables. Jose Jaen "Blue Chip" 1993 33FBC Miami FL

If I told you what I pay for E&O insurance every year as a Structural Engineering Firm, well you'd pass out...lets just say that if that bill magically went away, I could repower with new engines about every 18 months. And I have had no claims in 7 years of being in business. Main reason cited for the huge premiums: the excessively litigious business climate here in the good ole' US. So I guess I'm a little sore on the subject, and maybe not the best source for an unbiased opinion on this matter.
