Gary, No offense, but this is nothing new. Those are all old articles that only dealt with older 31's and one back yard builder. One of our own members did his own test with a strip of Rick Shaffer's 1985 tank. The short of it is the tank stip was not compromised until the solution it was soaking in was 25% water and 75% ethanol. Keep the water out and the tank will be fine. Unfortunately, you have no idea what the prior owner(s) did with your boat so you're kind of screwed. Again, I (along with a lot of other owners here) ran or continue to run ethanol with no effect.
