35's do have a small keel, at least the ones I've seen. The 30 Moppie also has one. Believe keels help to dampen roll, however larger rudders may be needed to improve steerage at slow speeds. quote:Originally posted by dougl33 I think the 35's have a small keel. Hi Guys, I am very new here....just found the site when I was trolling for info for a 33 I am thinking about buying. I have had boats of all sizes and worked in the industry for about 15 years, starting as a shipwright and now selling new yachts from 35' to 140'. Doesn't always mean I know more than the average guy with a rowboat......but I might.....maybe?
