Frank, If the bulkhead is rotten all the way to the window it may be easier replace the entire bulkhead. I repaired mine kind of like Doug did. Lucky for me mine was not rotten all the way up to the window. Buzz buzzk 1988 Bertram 33 FBC Buzz Off Morehead City, NC

Buzz... I will have to see when I open things up just what I find.. until I do my plans are flexible. I have seen pics of a bulkhead that was seperated from the cabin sides (on Dave Toepfer's "Fish Stix", totaled in Katrina.. there are some pics of her in the Slide Show section of this forum, but the pic I am referring to is not there.. he posted several pics here in the message part of this site) so I know how it is fastened in place.
