Greettings from a new member. What a great find this site has been! Tim, I think your new dash is spectacular! I hope you don't mind a SF owner saying so, but after all... our dashes are the same huh. Has anyone completed a replacement of their rubrail with the PVC yet? I painted mine in '94 and it lasted preety good, but is in need again. I just don't know (like has been mentioned here) what my aluminum is going to look like when we take the stainless off. Having the boat in a dry rack with in and out service for the last 7 years helped preserve it too I'm sure. Chris

Thank you Chris we will be looking forward to your postings. I think if i do anything i am going to paint my rub rail even if i have to do it every few years i think it would be easier than removing and replacing. Tim Stamm Photo Finish 1981 33' Bertram FBC

Thanks Frank, Satin black or navy blue to match my boot stripe is an option that i have been considering. For now i am going to install as is and let it grow on me for awhile.Thats the beauty of having it done in metal. If i want to change it i can just sandblast it and powdercoat any color.Regardless the blue dymo labels go with anything! Well guys, I might have to take a good hard look at myself. I DO have a parts jeep out in the yard and my jeep has the engine out of it, since I loaned it to Patti's son for his race car... I DO drive a pickup truck, although it's only 2 years old..HMMM. Wow, no wonder my father always looked down his nose at what I do for a living...until I introduced him to Ralph Lauren anyway. Maybe I'm a New England redneck. I guess to be a proper " New England" redneck , one has to be able to say "redneck" with the correct nose in the air attitude and slight new england , nasal accent. Picture the Marblehead sailor type but instead of saying"I live in marbleHEAD" He says"I'm a redNECK" Doug?

Wu doggie! A northern cuz'n and a rich redneck too! (2 year old pick-up that runs!). Now that goes to show you that this here four'm has some mighty fine redneck's on it. Except, one thing, ya'll need to some empty beer cans laying around an 300 young'n (who is a bit on the slow side, if ya know what I mean) named Junior. Then you would have a real redneck gather'n spot! [:D] 1979 Bertram 33' FBC ALEXANDRA Port Richey, Florida

Pretty fancy Tim, I usually prefer a flat black panel but yours looks good , kinda brightens things up.

You should see it in person. It looks great. Also, Tim was gracious enough to let me take the wheel for a few minutes on Monday afternoon. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Gene, You are correct. I know Tim is very happy with his setup, but since seeing his, I am happier that I have the tournament helm for the simlpe reason that there's more room to mount electronics and keep things hidden.
