Tim's Re-power
Yeah the controls are on the ceiling on my boat. So I'll have to pull a phone line type wire up to the location of the display? Wonder if they left me a pull wire, but I doubt it. Scary proposition, because if they get stuck in the middle of the run, I'll have nothing. Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com

Sean, An electrician friend of mine has some type of spray he puts on the wires before he pulls his runs to make them slide easier around the bends. Perhaps you could use something like that, and use the old wires to pull the new one back to the control box. BTW, how are you looking still for Oct. 4-8 at Tween Waters? 1979 Bertram 33' FBC ALEXANDRA Port Richey, Florida

Sean, first thing you need to do is find out where the wires from your 3knob controls go to.Do they go to a wire terminal like mine are ,as shown in the wide picture? If that is the case then i agree with Ed .just disconnect the wires that lead to the 3knob display connect the phone line very securely with electrical tape and pull it through with the 3 knob display. I usually put dishwasher detergeant on the wires if i think it is a tight run. Or if you want to get the controls off the ceiling just remount the new digital display in a more convenient location and put a nice picture over the ceiling hole.By the way the new digital display does not fit in the same whole anyway it is a little larger. I would like to see a picture of your ceiling mount. Is that normal for a SF? Tim Stamm Photo Finish 1981 33' Bertram FBC
