I like that idea of a cooler up on the bridge. The size of the console of a sport fish is big enough to put a small one towards the outside end without pulling the doors. I am going to check that out today. Man, no more throwing cans and yelling to get a beer. Just open and open. Love it. Dropping cans down below has gotten old, those guys have gotten quick in their old age, lol. Mike

MikeMike you don't need a bridge cooler, you need to tighten up your crew. If the Skipper wants a fresh beer - they should be clamoring over themselves to get it up there to you. What the hell kind of boat / crew are you running anyway? You don't need a cooler, you need to get those skaliwags to toe the line, dammit. Next time you are wondering where your next beer is, try to knock a cockpit daisy overboard with your empty can, the message will sink in Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com

Now that I'm a smart ass...I drank the Rum , threw out the orange slices and if you describe the cooler, it's yours. I bet it came off a SeaRay. I know a Bertram owner would never put his Rum where it may be lost overboard. Gene Dugan

GMarty... I am considering installing a transom swim platform.. have not made a definite decision yet, although without one and having transom mounted oversized trim tabs I am afraid of damaging these when I finally learn how to back into my slip. I have contacted Butler Marine (http://www.butlermarine.com/) and they responded with a nice letter which I have filed away somewhere. They make all sorts of platforms among other things.. seem to know their business. If you want more info I will see if I can find their quote. Great idea Gene! It will be one of our top prizes! "This rare item is a genuine mariner artifact recovered in the ocean, believed to have been used by pirates to store their liquor during long voyages across the sea. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make this part of your own seafaring history!" 1979 Bertram 33' FBC ALEXANDRA Port Richey, Florida HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR BERTRAM PRIDE '06 yet? George, I added a fiberglass platform to my 33 sportfish last year. It is a great addition & was easy to do as I had the genny out of the boat at the time. I got it from Glastech in Florida for @ 1500. Nelson is the guy to talk to. He was very helpful answering my installation questions. I'll try to see if I can find & post some pictures. Re the console modification: On mine as well, there is a bunch of wiring as well as the bell for my warning sensors mounted to the inderside. An alternative location mught be under the forward bridge seats. Mine has two access panels molded in & the area could be foamed for a workable cooler ( not too deep but fairly wide) BestRegards Gerard
