After running a 35B for many years my goal is to restore and replace stuff with the lightest products I can buy. The hatches I would go with a foam board product. I am luck here I have a buddy who does fiberglass resto's so I can get the stuff pretty cheap or use scraps. By the way the red rubber gaskets were stock.

Thanks Charlie, I didn't think the rubber gasket was factory. I would think the foam would be the best product for the hatches. Probably drop close to a hundred pounds if I went with foam. The hatches were so soaked with water that when I stood them up on there sides in the garage the water was all over the floor by the next morning.
