I hear you Doug. I can't and don't want to take the beatings I used to take. I guess it just took me longer to wise up. By the way what are you salon floor dimensions? I measured from the forward bulkhead to the rear and starboard side to base of lower cabinets. I was I a 33 with no engine boxes and it looked larger then my 35B; but all the blinds were off. So maybe it just looked that way.

Jeff, I think the boats an 84. I think its a great deal for a diesel powered 33. As its listed with 250 gallons for fuel it was probably a diesel boat from the factory. Starting in the 80's all the gas boats had 310 gallons. There's no mention of hours so it will be interesting to see what it has. I would expect a cruise of 22-24 knots and 27+ on the pins. I'm not sure what to expect for fuel burn as most of the diesel guys here have Cats or Cummins. Being an 84, its got most of the changes that I like: Second stateroom Tournament helm Teak interior The cabin curtains are either missing or are not on the boat and the electronics don't seem to be anything special. As always, its tough to tell from pictures. At that price its certainly worth a look. Charlie, I'm not sure what the cabin dimensions are. I measured it a few years ago when I had the teak and holly done, but I forget what it was.

I've never been on or seen this boat, but its been for sale for 8+ years. It was orginally listed for $130K. I like the layout, but it doesn't look like there's much else other than the Cats. If it were me I'd rather have the boat with the Yanmars. The difference in these boats once they get over 20 knots is unreal. They were meant to cruise at 21+ and you'll be struggling to do it with those engines.

Jef, I've seen that boat on YW before. I'd prefer the 79 with the Cummins. Higher cruising speed and much less fuel burn.

I have a 33 FBC which I fish on and ocassionally spend the night on. We really like the boat. It's runs fast enough for me and is good on fuel. The rear bluckhead is not a hard fix. The deck where the flybridge latter attaches to the deck my need repairing and this is an easy fix too. I've fished on a 42 Bertram and it was a great boat but where we fish it burned about twice as much fuel as by boat. Buzz

I have the 33 fbc and run in all conditions. Head and following seas are no problem with trim set correctly. Beam seas are great nas long as you have momentum. I am selling a 33 fbc with cats and a full tower if you interested and am around the price of the yammer boat. Jeff I looked at the 33 in Newburyport before I bought my 33 FBC. It was in rough shape 3 years ago. The rear bulkhead was rotted from the floor all the way up to the window frame back then, I can't imagine what it looks like now.There has been no updating what so ever on it. The broker was asking 130K back then, I offered him 80k and he laughed at me. The one in NY a friend of mine looked at that one last year. It had been primary used to fish and it was fished hard.
