You know what's funny is that I didn't know much about Bertrams when I bought my B35, If I had, the 33FBC would have been more ideal with the second stateroom. I've got to say that I'm spoiled now and wouldn't want to give up the size of the B35's cockpit. I'd say that for me, in boats under 40ft, I like the galley up design and one that is smaller taking up only a corner of the space rather than one whole side. I had toyed with the idea of building bunks or a second stateroom in across from the head, where we have drawers and a large hanging locker. If I do, I would borrow a design I saw on the last navy ship I was on, The USS WASP, the crews bunks lifted and the whole underneath was used for storing you gear. But that's a good bit of work that ain't going to happen anytime soon. For now we use a futon in the salon and it's working ok better than a sofa bed because it doesn't take up as much floor space.

Yea John I would like to have more salon room. We don't need a second stateroom so for me the galley down design is something I am considering. If you do a lot of cruising that big reffer is a plus. Maybe someday. I like the idea of having more seating in the salon, maybe a recliner and a plasma TV. Now we are talking. Oh the kids can sleep on the flybridge.

Randy, I like what you did with the head, I never thought of the clear panel between the head and shower until I saw it on that Southern Cross boat and here you've already done it, I do like that, makes it look a little more updated. We don't use our shower as the sump doesn't work and it needs to be re-caulked. Since I'm done doing big stuff for a while, maybe I can get around to putting the shower back in service at least the wife and kids could use it, its a little tight for me ;) Charlie, I hear ya on the plasma and recliner. With the time it takes me to get things done, the kids will be grown and gone before I get bunks setup, procrastination pays... You know what would go good in your boat is one of those L shaped sofas since you entry door is already offset it would be an easy fit, heck you can even get them with recliners in them and storage underneith.
